We are currently under a trough, which has brought some scattered storms and clouds into our area. We will continue to be under this trough until tomorrow (Thursday) evening. During this time, we will continue to see mainly cloud cover with a chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Afterwards, heading into the weekend, the cloud cover will start to subside, but won’t won’t fully subside until Saturday, which will be sunny. This will be short lived though, as cloud cover, followed by rain showers and thunderstorms, makes its way into our area by Sunday and especially into Monday. This shift back into cloud cover and rain seems to be due to a massive trough in Canada that doesn’t extend into the US, but does allow for the moisture in the Gulf of Mexico to travel northward towards the trough, which brings rain and thunderstorms. In terms of high temperatures, most of the next several days will be in the mid 80s. Saturday and Sunday are the only exceptions as Saturday will be in the low 90s and Sunday will be in the upper 80s.
