Forecast Discussion

A cold front has moved over our region and will be followed by a high-pressure system leading to drops in temperature overnight. Tonight we can expect a low of 31 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Moving into Thursday, an extensive high-pressure system will continue into the area clearing out clouds and wind leaving calm conditions and allowing for temperatures to reach 55 degrees. A well-developed low-pressure system will make its way from the Great Plains region through Thursday evening into Friday. We will experience the warm front attached to the low-pressure first with overnight temperatures reaching 41 degrees and clouds moving into the area. As the system continues to the east, the warm front will clear but will leave behind a large area of rain with a chance of thunderstorms beginning in the late morning and continuing through the day and into the evening. On Friday, temperatures will reach 66 degrees and as the rain continues through, winds will pick up to range from 10-15 miles per hour.
