High pressure begins to break down this evening as a weak NW’ly cold front encroaches on the region overnight. Fairly weak southwesterly winds in addition to an increase in cloud cover will generate for a fairly mild night as the low nears the lower 60s. This cloud coverage will gradually increase throughout Wednesday night and Thursday morning as the cold front nears southeastern Ohio by 7am-10am. The timing and other factors have kept this front fairly weak in intensity as light-moderate rain showers may develop ahead and along the passing boundary. Mostly cloudy to overcast conditions can be expected through Thursday morning, but slowly begin to decrease by late afternoon. Prominent northwesterly flow will help reduce the afternoon high temperature into the upper 70s. A brief high pressure slides across the region for Thursday night into Friday, leaving dry and calm conditions. Southerly flow returns Friday night into the start of the weekend as another cold front approaches late Saturday… Temperatures and low-level moisture will begin to rise Saturday and into early next week with high temperatures greatly warming well into the upper 80s.
