Calm conditions leading into tonight will soon be replaced with approaching inclement weather. More clouds will arrive into the early morning hours of Friday, with winds becoming much more blustery. Currently, a Wind Advisory is in effect from 4 PM Friday to 8 AM Saturday, for winds between 20-30 mph and gusts up to 50 mph. In the afternoon, rain will arrive following a cold front, accumulating up to half an inch before tapering off in the evening as the low pressure system continues further northeastward. Winds will continue to be a hazard throughout the night and into Saturday, though the chances of rain have diminished.

With a drop in temperatures following the passage of the front, wraparound moisture still poses a chance of snow showers and flurries in the morning of Saturday, though accumulations are unlikely. After this system passes, a major blast of arctic air is likely in our region, dropping temperatures in the early week down to the low-to-mid 20s for the highs. Another east-coast snowstorm has the possibility of dropping snow into our area around Tuesday as well, though preliminary accumulations do not seem to total to much.
