A weak high pressure system briefly remains in control for the early part of the day before another cold frontal boundary out of the northwest approaches. This will begin to increase chances for showers and storms by the late afternoon / early evening timeframe, with scattered storms persisting mainly into the early part of the night tonight. A stray shower may be possible early on Friday, but skies will begin to gradually clear throughout the afternoon, with highs just breaking 80. Pleasant conditions are expected for the weekend as high pressure out of the north settles in for Saturday. This will be accompanied by a drop in dewpoints down into the upper 50s, with highs in the low to mid-80s Saturday and Sunday.
