Snow has largely ended this evening with many southeastern Ohio region picking up 1″-1.5″ snow totals. Temperatures have actually risen slightly above freezing temporarily with light drizzly mix of rain/snow this evening through about 2am, so we actually will see a slight melting of snow, more importantly the roads should get in better shape with salt working to melt any accumulated snow on roadways. Temperatures do crash below freezing thereafter into morning hours so any remaining slush will freeze up rapidly unfortunately. Sun will look to make an appearance once again so things would look nice but we will be below freezing on Tuesday. Despite being below freezing, sun should be strong enough to allow some snow melts briefly in afternoon before that becomes icy by evening as temperatures will plummet down into lower single digits by Wednesday morning, any light winds will push chills below zero. Wednesday will have abundant sunshine as well with even colder temperatures expected as we struggle to get out of lower 20’s. Wednesday night will basically be a repeat of Tuesday night with temperatures once again dropping near 0. Dry weather remains in place on Thursday with slight warm up, still cold though, before another disturbance moves down with more snow showers on Friday and we cool down again at start of upcoming weekend.
