Forecast Discussion

High pressure is currently over our region. As this high pressure moves out, a weak longwave trough will move over our area, bringing us blustery winds tomorrow during the day. Temperatures are expected to remain slightly above average for the 48-hour forecast period as well as mostly clear skies. Dew points will also be in the low 30s Sunday into Monday morning, meaning it will be rather dry out due to the surface temperature and dew points being farther apart. Combined with the gusty surface winds, it is possible outdoor burning could be unsafe, so stay tuned to any National Weather Service advisories if they are issued.

Clouds will begin to move in Sunday overnight as the trough passes through, but chances of precipitation are very low. A relatively quiet weekend of weather is expected, so despite the wind, the weekend into President’s Day on Monday looks to be pleasant. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
