A shortwave troughing pattern passing through the region has brought the very cold arctic air mass we are experiencing currently. Thankfully, as this trough passes Monday and Tuesday, high pressure is going to build in behind it, meaning we are in for some warmer weather. This trend looks like it will continue throughout most of the week, so we can look forward to a nice week of weather despite it being mostly cloudy for the majority of the week.

It may seem like we are getting a taste of early spring, but don’t count on it. Things will likely get colder again over the weekend with the passage of a cold front bringing more cold air into the region. Not too long and it will finally be spring! Have a great week.
