Happy Homecoming Ohio University! Rain has remained minimal throughout Saturday, though through the night some scattered light rain is possible amidst cloudy skies. Throughout Sunday, more of the same is to be expected as the low pressure from the remnants of post-tropical cyclone Helene remains stalled in our area. These showers can be sporadic and unpredictable, though they will not be the drenching rain we’ve experienced. Overnight Sunday and into Monday, some foggy conditions are possible as saturation is reached near the ground. Once again, Monday will continue to see some periodic drizzle.

A large upper-level trough will force this low pressure to move eastward, and by Tuesday, clouds will begin to decrease throughout the day, and higher pressure will begin to push inwards. Wednesday through Thursday will see beautiful, sunny weather in the mid 70s on Wednesday and then back to the low 80s by Thursday. Slight warming is to be expected from a weak ridge, though this will not only keep weather calm, but make our area a lot less humid.
