Forecast Discussion

We are still seeing a warming trend for the early part of the week. A shortwave trough with associated low pressure brings the chance for rain on Monday evening into early Tuesday, but rain should remain brief and somewhat scattered. To summarize, expect a wet start to your Tuesday. Warming continues as we remain in the warm sector of a deepening low pressure out to our West, which pushes out towards us on Wednesday and into Thursday. Temperatures remain unseasonably above average and warm, so precipitation will arrive as rain. With the passage of this system, expect localized flooding and an associated cold frontal passage, which will cause a tremendous drop in temperature overnight on Thursday into Friday. A tightened pressure gradient with this system’s passage makes for blustery conditions for the later part of the week.
