Forecast Discussion

As of 8pm this evening, radar is still indicating some isolated rain showers and thunderstorms across southern Ohio. These chances may exist throughout the remaining hours of Sunday as well as into Labor Day morning with an approaching cold front from the northwest. Some fog development is possible for any locations that received precipitation this evening in addition to the fairly calm winds overnight. The cold front will approach the region by late morning and eventually pass through by Monday afternoon. Rain chances as well as cloud cover will greatly diminish progressing throughout the second half of Monday. Somewhat weaker high pressure will fill in over the area for Tuesday before slipping southward in the presence of another incoming cold front early on Wednesday. Temperatures will become seasonably cooler with highs dipping into the mid-upper 70s for the remainder of the work week.
