Forecast Discussion

An upper level ridging pattern along with an area of high pressure to the north will make way for clear and calm conditions throughout most of the week for the Athens area. Temperatures will be slightly above normal into the upper 70’s through the middle of the week, and cooling during overnight hours due to the clear and calm conditions will create the chance for fog during the morning hours. Later this week a deepening trough in the upper Midwest will bring cold front through our area, creating a chance for rain Friday evening through Saturday morning. Temperatures will then cool into mid 60’s for the weekend.
