Forecast Discussion

Unsettled weather will continue through the end of the work week and into the beginning of the weekend with a short-wave trough moving over our region. This will allow for a low pressure system to linger around and provide continuous chances for showers and storms. Dense cloud coverage will help keep daytime highs in the lower 80s today and Friday, with lows only dropping to around 70. A cold front will then push through our region Saturday morning, reducing chances for showers as we progress through the day. We will finally dry out Saturday night through Sunday as a weak ridging pattern builds, allowing highs to peak in the mid-80s again. However, another short-wave trough will allow for a low pressure system to develop in the Plains region, which will provide another wave of showers and storms by Monday night.
