Dipping in the jet stream will continue to move out to sea over the Atlantic for most of the day. Behind this, upper cresting in the jet stream will move in throughout the day today. Along with the dip in the jet stream, a strong surface high pressure will follow its forcing, and continue to move eastward. This will shift flow from the north, back to an easterly/slightly southeasterly component of motion today. With lots of stable air overhead, skies should remain clear, with calm winds. Highs should still remain in the upper 60s and lower 70s throughout the day today. With clear skies and calm winds, lows will drop back into the upper 30s and lower 40s tonight. Make sure to bring a jacket if you’re going out and about. Tuesday’s weather should remain the same, although winds will shift around to the west because of hurricane Teddy coming close to the east coast. Highs will be slightly warmer, as influence from the cresting of the jet stream will present itself. Chances of rain will increase toward the end of the week, with temperatures warming to the upper 70s and lower 80s in some spots.
