Forecast Discussion

Another beautiful fall-like day will be present across the forecast area today. haze from the west coast wild fires should ride up the jet stream, and make for hazy skies once again today. A few clouds may present themselves as well. Going into tonight, clouds will begin to thicken as the remnants of Hurricane Sally make its way to our area. However, because the center of the system should stay well to our south, precipitation chances look very unlikely at this time. Meanwhile off to our north, a strong dip in the jet stream will make its way down into our area. At the surface, a high pressure center associated with much below average temperatures will make its way south into our region. This will cool highs off into the 60s for Friday into Saturday. Lows could possibly reach the upper 30s in some spots this weekend. During daytime, however, it will be beautiful for this time of year–highs in the upper 60s with sunny skies.
