This will provide mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with dry conditions for the overnight hours tonight and into the day Monday. Clouds will be on the increase throughout the afternoon Monday and into the evening hours Monday night as a low pressure system slides Northeast across the Midwest and begins to influence our area. Therefore, mostly cloudy skies with the chance for showers and thunderstorms arrives Monday night as a warm front associated with the low moves across the area. The chance for showers and thunderstorms appears likely again on Tuesday as the cold front associated with the low moves through sometime Tuesday evening. Heavy thunderstorms with potentially heavy rains appear possible on Tuesday and Tuesday night. On Wednesday, a few lingering morning showers appear possible but will give way to cooler and drier conditions later in the day as the influence of high pressure begins to move back into the area. For Thursday and Friday, skies look to remain mostly sunny with dry conditions as high pressure remains over our area.
