Forecast Discussion

The influence of an occluded low pressure system continues to influence our region this evening with the passing of a cold front this early evening. This will allow showers and thunderstorms to be possible this evening and into the overnight hours tonight as temperatures  cool with the passing of the cold front. On Wednesday a few lingering morning showers will be around but will give way to drier conditions later in the day as the influence of high pressure builds back into the area. This high pressure and upper level ridge pattern in the jet stream looks to persist through the end of the work week providing dry conditions with sunny skies for Thursday and Friday. On Saturday a brief upper level trough pattern influences the area providing the chance for showers but will quickly move out of the area providing a pleasant and dry day on Sunday.
