Forecast Discussion

The remnants of Hurricane Laura will combine with another area of low pressure located over the upper mid west. This will cause rain chances to continue over the next 12 hours. Before a cold front, thunderstorms will be possible. Further east and south into the forecast area will possibly see severe thunderstorms, with gusty winds.  After the cold front from the now combined storms comes through this afternoon, much cooler and pleasant weather will be in store. Humidity values will plummet into much more comfortable values, along with temperatures in the middle 70s likely for the end of the weekend into next week.
