A very active pattern will remain in place over the next few days. A battleground between cool dipping, and warm cresting in the jet stream will occur over the northern part of Ohio, and into southern Ontario. Because of this, multiple disturbances will come through. This will bring chances of showers and thunderstorms throughout the next 24-48 hours. After these disturbances move eastward, the remnants of hurricane Laura will move into our area. Nothing close to hurricane force weather will be expected across SE Ohio, but heavy rain, and a few rumbles of thunder will be likely. Monitor the latest forecasts, and watch for flooding later this week and into the early weekend. After this passes, much cooler weather will move into the area. Highs during the latter part of the weekend will likely only reach the middle and upper 70s. Going into next week, highs will return to the lower 80s. Watch for possible thunderstorm chances Monday night into Tuesday.
