The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Flood Warning for the Hocking River at Athens until 3:45 PM Thursday

A ridge in the jet stream will bottle up the cold air to the north. An upper-level trough will eventually come through, bringing with it a cold front and rain showers early Friday morning. Much colder temperatures are expected Friday into Saturday, as the upper-level trough will remain over the area over the weekend. Our next chance of precipitation after Friday morning will come Sunday, as an area of low pressure makes its way up through the region.
