Forecast Discussion
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 AM tomorrow morning while an Extreme Cold Watch has been issued from 6 PM tomorrow until 12 PM on Tuesday. Winds are expected to pick back up Monday and Tuesday as a weak system moves just to the north of us, and thankfully this system is unlikely going to bring precipitation into our region. However, temperatures are unlikely to break past freezing, and some overnight lows may be as frigid as below zero at times. Wind chill for the beginning of the work week won’t help the already bitterly cold conditions, so please continue to bundle up if you ever travel outside these next few days. Because of these freezing conditions, snow melt is not expected for quite a while.
