Due to our excessive rainfall these next few days the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Athens County. During this time, be mindful of flooded roadways and ponding in low lying areas. This watch will be in effect until Sunday at 8 am.

Today, we have a chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms. We are under a Slight Risk (2/4) for excessive rainfall today due to these widespread showers and thunderstorms. Tomorrow we can expect much of the same with chances for rain tomorrow afternoon, however we are only in a Marginal Risk (1/4) for excessive rainfall. Temperatures though will briefly cool into the low 80s before we warm up again next week.
