Due to tonight’s forecasted low being below freezing the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Athens county and the surrounding counties. This will be in effect from 1 am tonight until 10 am tomorrow. Be sure to cover plants tonight as frost and freeze conditions could damage or kill any unprotected plants.

We will see clear skies and a low around 30 degrees tonight. We can expect slightly cooler tomorrow with a high around 50 degrees as a weak cold front will brush past our region, however, skies will remain sunny. We will have similar conditions Tuesday night with clear skies and low below freezing.

We will remain relatively dry and sunny for the rest of the week before our next system Friday night.
