Forecast Discussion

The end of this week and into the weekend will give us the experience of corn sweat! The high humidities and warmer temperatures this week in the Midwest are resultants of this, as this is the time of the year when corn starts to release a lot of moisture as it matures and gives a boost to humidities during heat waves. The National Weather Service of Sioux Falls in South Dakota shared that an acre of corn gives off 3,000-4,000 gallons of water per day!

As we move into this weekend, a small trough gives us chances for rain and maybe thunderstorms into Saturday with temperatures in the low 90s as a cold front cuts through the middle of Ohio. As the weekend finishes up, chances of rain don’t quite let up until Monday as high pressure returns.
