A persistent high-pressure system keeps things clear and dry for the time being, but an approaching cold front mid-week next week will ruin that :(.

A shortwave trough bringing the next system through the region is expected to eject across the Midwest throughout Wednesday as the system occludes far to our northwest. The associated cold front is expected to move through Wednesday into Thursday bringing showers and possibly some thunderstorms ahead of it. As of now, there is a possibility of some severe thunderstorms with this system likely posing a wind threat. We will keep our eye on the development of this system, so stay tuned to updates!
