Forecast Discussion

Another round of showers and thunderstorms is set to move through the area late tonight and into the morning hours on Sunday. Rain showers will leave the area by 2 PM for a quiet, but hot, end to the weekend. Summer-like temperatures will then completely enter the region on Monday with near-record breaking temperatures being possible. Be sure to stay hydrated, wear loose-fitting clothing, stay in the shade as much as possible, and check on elderly neighbors and those without A/C. Looking ahead, Tuesday will continue to be unusually hot before another round of showers and storms arrive Tuesday night into Wednesday and Thursday. This storm system will also bring cooler temperatures for the second-half of the week. Severe weather is not expected with any of these storms at this time, but stay tuned for updates as we head into the week just in case!
