Some rain showers and some rumbles of thunder are expected this morning but will decrease during the day. Rain chances could return by this evening and partially overnight, though the rain is expected to weaken by this time. We are currently under a Marginal Risk for severe weather (1/5) today with the main threats being severe wind gusts and hail. Conditions are expected to calm tomorrow as cold air sweeps behind this system, but showers and thunderstorms could return Friday and into this weekend. Another system will move through during this time, bringing rainy conditions on Friday with storms possible Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to drop down back into the 70s today and into the future. While we’ll climb close to 80 next week, we can still expect our daytime highs to not fluctuate dramatically as it did these past couple of days.
