Forecast Discussion
A large ridging pattern will be the main feature these next few days, though slight troughing is likely towards the end of the week. Today will feel fall-like and pleasant before a warmer and windier day tomorrow as a surface warm front passes. Winds soon shift from south-southwesterly to northwesterly come Wednesday night with the cold front passing, letting high pressure clear out Thursday before some weekend rain from an occluded low-pressure system. Wind gusts can be up to 25mph on Wednesday and then from the northwest on Friday as rain moves in, bringing in some moisture from the northerly low-pressure system and raising the dewpoint. These showers on Friday are likely to occur later in the afternoon into the evening, potentially becoming heavy at times. Alternatively, for our midweek, sunny days (and above-average temperatures on Wednesday) are ahead.
Lastly, tomorrow night will be mostly clear and perfect for viewing the Beaver Supermoon! It’s the 2nd of our three total and consecutive full supermoons this year and will appear 30% brighter as it reaches the perigee point.
