Tomorrow is looking to be a few degrees cooler, but heat indices will still be looking to reach the mid-to-high 90s due to the high dewpoints from current corn sweat. If outside, be sure to drink lots of water, stay cool, and wear sunscreen!

Despite the heat, rain and thunderstorm chances aren’t looking to let up until Tuesday. An upper-level high will be the reason for these chances, as more thunderstorm disturbances can form, and the Weather Prediction Center (WPC) has Athens, OH in the middle of a Slight Risk (Level 2 out of 4) for excessive rains where scattered flash floods are possible tomorrow the 27th. Do not drive onto flooded roadways and be cautious of low-lying areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

However, be on the lookout for the end of next week, where temperatures will drop below average and be more comfortable in the low 80s!
