Forecast Discussion
Storms to our west will slowly make their way towards the region, moving to the east overnight. While we may hear a rumble of thunder, any energy for these storms will rapidly decrease during this time, so severe storms are not expected; however, rain is still very possible for Athens. This rain will rapidly exit the county, and calmer weather is expected tomorrow as clouds mostly clear out. Another round of showers and maybe some storms may return Wednesday morning as a weak system clips southern Ohio. Both systems will bring colder air with them, cooling the region significantly back into the upper-50s and lower-60s alongside some breezy conditions. Make sure to break out the light jacket for the end of this week, especially if you have any plans during commencement Friday and Saturday for our graduating Bobcats! Thankfully, by the end of the week, conditions will calm, though we may see a brief shower on Friday, though confidence is still uncertain.
