Forecast Discussion

The cold conditions look to stay around the Southeast Ohio region for the remainder of the week. Temperatures didn’t even make it to 40 today and tonight areas may drop to the upper teens. For tonight and into the day tomorrow the area will experience brief period of dry weather and we will see sun for the day tomorrow. Into tomorrow night our next system will be moving into the area. This storm will be a interesting one as we have chances of getting frozen precipitation, then to rain, then to snow showers by Thursday evening. The models still have a few days to figure out the exact timing of the precipitation, but this storm will have its impacts as we have this colder air sticking around. On Thursday the high will be above freezing so more than likely there will be rain for the day. Then the colder air on the backside of this system will give the area chances for a coating of snow Thursday night. Then by the weekend we dry up and will be in the upper 40’s.
