Forecast Discussion

The National Weather Service in Charleston, WV has issued a Flood Watch in effect from October 31st, 8:00PM, EDT until November 2nd, 8:00AM EDT.

We have a brief time of dry weather as a shortwave ridge is giving us high pressure for tonight. Lows will be in the upper 40’s tonight. On Wednesday, a low pressure system will be affecting Southeast Ohio. A trough right now that is in the central plains will deepen as it gets closer to our region later in the week. This will cause the system to slowly make it’s way to the region. This will cause rain to be in the forecast Wednesday through Friday. With the rain expect flooding to be a possibility. Throughout this time as well, temperatures will be mild as we may reach 70 degrees for Wednesday before the rain moves into the region. By Friday night, we begin to dry up as temperatures will be in the lower 40’s. For the weekend temperatures will be in the mid 50’s with sunny skies. Looking into early next week the mild conditions look to stay around.
