On Wednesday we have a high pressure system stationed out in West Virginia bringing the very hot temperatures the rest of this week. Looking at the 250 mb level we can see a well defined ridging pattern pushing east followed by a deep troughing pattern. This trough could lead to the chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night into Thursday morning. For most of Wednesday we will see abnormally high temperatures for Semptember. Temperatures will get up into the upper 80s with lows in the upper 60s. We will also see mostly sunny skies during most of the day with clouds moving in during the evening hours. Thursday we again see temperatures reaching into the upper 80s with partly cloudy skies during the day. We could see some stray rain showers in the morning from the low pressure pushing through Wednesday into Thursday morning.The cold front along with this low pressure system could affect our region Friday into Saturday morning. After the front goes through, the weekend looks to be very nice with warm temperatures and a very low chance of showers.
