Steve Nedlik is currently a junior majoring in Broadcast-Meteorology. He is from Mentor, Ohio, a city outside of Cleveland. Steve is an associate forecaster for WOUB NewsWatch as well as the chapter liaison for the Ohio University Chapter of the American Meteorological Society. His specific interests in weather include forecasting winter weather and severe weather and he is also interested in coastline preservation. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, exercising, and spending time with family/friends
Landen Hensel
Landen is a second-year student at Ohio University from Lebanon, Ohio, pursuing a B.S. in Geography/Meteorology and a Certificate in Human Resources Management. His passion for weather began at a young age. He often claims he was a bit by a weather bug. His weather interests include winter weather and severe storms. Beyond graduation, Landen is interested in going into a career with Emergency Management. Landen is actively involved with the Ohio University Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (OUCAMS) and serves as the Assistant Chief of Staff for the Ohio University Student Senate. He is also a Resident Advisor in James Hall.
Kora Garee
Kora grew up in a small town near Columbus, Ohio, and is currently a sophomore at Ohio University, majoring in Aviation Management with a minor in Meteorology. Her passion for meteorology blossomed while taking aviation courses, where she discovered how closely weather impacts the world of flying. This realization inspired her to add a Meteorology minor to complement her studies. Kora is an active member of Women in Aviation International and Alpha Eta Rho, the aviation business fraternity. In her free time, she enjoys running, knitting, flying, and spending time with her dog. As a licensed private pilot, she aspires to build a career in the aviation industry that integrates her expertise in both aviation and meteorology.
Emerson Young
Emerson Young is a junior at Ohio University studying Geography with a meteorology minor. Emerson grew up in Vickery, Ohio along Sandusky Bay near Sandusky, Ohio. His passion for weather started from watching Meteorologists at 13abc in Toledo, Ohio during Winter Storms and The November 17th, 2013, Tornado Outbreak. Emerson hopes to get a job forecasting weather in the private sector for transportation.
Cameron Wade
Cameron is a 2nd year meteorology student at Ohio University. His interest in Meteorology started when he watched Storm Chasers on the Weather Channel at a very young age. Cameron became interested in severe weather from that show and became passionate about watching all kinds of storms in his hometown Fort Wayne, Indiana. During high school, Cameron wanted to pursue meteorology as his career. Cameron participated in the Skywarn Weather Spotters program with the National Weather Service, and shadowed his local meteorologist, Nicholas Ferreri at WANE 15 News. Cameron came to Ohio University to study geography meteorology, and wants to obtain a master’s degree for his major. After graduating college, Cameron plans on getting into the National Weather Service to work as a meteorologist.
Calvin Stebbins
Calvin Stebbins is currently a sophomore majoring in Geography-Meteorology. He is from Deshler, Ohio, a small-town South of Bowling Green. His interests in Meteorology started at a young age as he fell in love with the movie Twister, and the fascination began to grow towards severe weather. In his free me, he enjoys hanging out with friends, exploring new areas, and watching the Detroit Lions.
Bronwyn Bach
Bronwyn is a current junior at Ohio University, pursuing a meteorology degree with additional studies in geographic information systems (GIS) and mathematics. Originally from Pickerington, Ohio, she now lives in Athens with her bird and two longtime friends. After graduation, she hopes to one day have a career with NOAA focusing on mesoscale meteorology. When not occupied with school, Bronwyn loves to explore the beautiful roads around Athens and the neighboring counties, create digital paintings, and play video games with friends.
Andrew Branney
Andrew Branney is a second-year meteorology major from a town called Hartville, about 15 minutes south of Akron, Ohio. He is currently a member of the Ohio University’s Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (OUCAMS), and works alongside head of the meteorology department, Dr. Ryan Fogt, assisting him with his research that is taken in Antarctica. In March of 2024 at the annual OUCAMS symposium, he received the Isaac Scholars Foundation Scholarship. Andrew is also a Resident Assistant in the Brown/Pickering dorm complex on campus. Andrew graduated in 2023 from Lake High School, where he participated in basketball and baseball. Outside of basketball and baseball, he also enjoys hanging out with family and friends, stargazing, enjoying nature, and listening to music, specifically country.
Brian Colle
Andy Wolford
Andrew is a 3rd year meteorology major with a minor in chemistry from Amelia Ohio. His interest in weather started due to his family being from New Orleans and having experienced several hurricanes he developed an interest in natural sciences generally and meteorology more specifically. He transferred to OU from UC Cincinnati in 2023 and joined the OU Chapter of the American Meteorological Society. After getting involved with the chapter he decided to change his major from Chemical Engineering to Meteorology. His primary area of focus is tropical cyclones, and he plans to go on to grad school and eventually apply to the National Hurricane Center.
