Paige is a junior at Ohio University studying aviation flight and management with minors in communication, business, and meteorology. Paige is from Denver, North Carolina. She is an active member of the Ohio University Precision Flight team, Alpha Eta Rho (aviation fraternity) and, secretary of Women in Aviation. Paige hopes to fly for NOAA’s hurricane hunting team. Paige’s interest in meteorology first started when her parents took her to meet the Tornado Hunters when she was in elementary school. In Paige’s spare time she loves to fly, ski, surf and do anything outside with friends. Fun facts about Paige include she has a twin brother and is an instrument rated private pilot.

Hayden is an aviation flight major with a meteorology minor. Hayden was born in North Carolina and moved to Ohio in his early childhood. He currently works at the Ohio University airport assisting the avionics mechanic with maintenance and cleaning of aircraft. After graduating and while earning flight hours he intends to continue school part time to earn an airframe & powerplant mechanic certificate. He hopes to join the NOAA hurricane flight crew acting as pilot.

Emile Stark is a sophomore at Ohio University studying journalism and meteorology. Her meteorological inspirations are Jim Cantore and Ryan Hall. In the future, Emile looks forward to a career in broadcasting meteorology to a wide audience and documenting weather phenomena. She believes that working with Scalia Labs will further her understanding of forecasting and her meteorological knowledge.

Samuel is a 19 year old sophomore at Ohio University, who is majoring in meteorology. He is from Westerville, Ohio which is just northwest of Columbus, about an hour and a half from Athens. He is a part of the meteorology club at OU and wants to work in the NWS one day. He loves to play video games and to watch the weather, hence why he is a meteorology major. He hopes to help people in any way in the future on any weather phenomena and keep people safe from dangerous storms.

Elizabeth is a senior at Ohio University studying Aviation Management, with minors in Geography – Meteorology, Business, and Communications. She is an active member of Ohio University’s Flying Bobcats Precision Flight Team as well as Alpha Eta Rho. Elizabeth became interested in meteorology after watching the movie Twister growing up (the 1996 version, of course), and after a tornado passed over her grandmother’s log cabin during a bad storm in Indiana when she was younger. There was thankfully little damage, but it sparked her desire to develop a better understanding of tornado watches and warnings. Her favorite meteorological phenomenon are lenticular clouds because of how silly she thinks they look. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys gardening, cuddling with her cat, Biscuit, and riding her motorcycle. She is also a big fan of cars and airplanes.

Teddy Trupp is 19, and is from Dayton, Ohio. He is a Sophomore at Ohio University. In his free time, he enjoys powerlifting, listening to music, being outside, making food and going out with friends. After he graduates, he sees himself being involved in the Military using his major.

Kansas Rhymer is a senior at Ohio University studying environmental geography with a minor in meteorology. From a young age, Kansas has always been fascinated by weather forecasting and prediction insights. As he continues his studies, private projects and storm chasing are activities he enjoys. His focal point in studies are understanding atmospheric processes and their interconnected relationships with the environment.

Steve Nedlik is currently a junior majoring in Broadcast-Meteorology. He is from Mentor, Ohio, a city outside of Cleveland. Steve is an associate forecaster for WOUB NewsWatch as well as the chapter liaison for the Ohio University Chapter of the American Meteorological Society. His specific interests in weather include forecasting winter weather and severe weather and he is also interested in coastline preservation. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, exercising, and spending time with family/friends

Leah is a fourth-year Geography-meteorology student at Ohio University. She is driven towards becoming an aviation meteorologist. Since she was a young girl she often looked toward the sky and had many unanswered questions. Now, she finds herself answering these questions that she once had. When Leah isn’t looking at the sky and studying the weather, she finds herself doing yoga and enjoying time with her friends.

Landen is a second-year student at Ohio University from Lebanon, Ohio, pursuing a B.S. in Geography/Meteorology and a Certificate in Human Resources Management. His passion for weather began at a young age. He often claims he was a bit by a weather bug. His weather interests include winter weather and severe storms. Beyond graduation, Landen is interested in going into a career with Emergency Management. Landen is actively involved with the Ohio University Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (OUCAMS) and serves as the Assistant Chief of Staff for the Ohio University Student Senate. He is also a Resident Advisor in James Hall.
