Zeke is a graduate student pursuing his M.S in Geography (class of 2028). He is from Albany, New York and graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology in 2026. Meteorology has been Zeke’s passion since he was a child, and he has maintained a love for observing and forecasting the weather throughout his life. As Scalia Lab Associate Director, he is also the instructor for Meteorological Observations (GEOG 3031) and Forecasting (GEOG 3040). His research will be focused on supercell-squall line mergers and exploiting machine learning methods to better understand these processes. He plans to either enter a career in operational meteorology or pursue a doctorate focused in meteorology after his masters

Max is a graduate student working towards a M.S. in Geography – Meteorology. He attended Ohio State from 2021 to 2025, where he received his B.S. in Physical Geography. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and loves all types of winter weather, especially lake-effect snow. Like most people in meteorology, his interests started when he was very young. One of his favorite memories from when he was a kid was the time he saw a rope tornado while at the park with his family in England. In his free time he enjoys cooking, hiking, and skiing. He loves all things science and hopes to apply his meteorological knowledge to a career in research.

Kaitlyn is a graduate student earning her M.S in Geography – Meteorology. She is from Lafollette, Tennessee and attended The University of Tennessee. There she graduated in 2024 with her bachelor’s in Geography with a concentration in Climate and Climate Change. Her academic interests include severe weather, supercell tornadogenesis, and tornado outbreaks. She had the privilege to present her undergraduate research at SEDAAG for “Changes in Climatology of Summertime Tornado Days in the Southern United States.”

Outside of meteorology, Kaitlyn loves to travel, find new music, and go to a Lumineers concert. She loves fall, and her favorite holiday is Halloween.
