Max is a graduate student working towards a M.S. in Geography – Meteorology. He attended Ohio State from 2021 to 2025, where he received his B.S. in Physical Geography. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and loves all types of winter weather, especially lake-effect snow. Like most people in meteorology, his interests started when he was very young. One of his favorite memories from when he was a kid was the time he saw a rope tornado while at the park with his family in England. In his free time he enjoys cooking, hiking, and skiing. He loves all things science and hopes to apply his meteorological knowledge to a career in research.
Dylan Hogan
Dylan Hogan is a 2nd year in Geography-Meteorology from Columbiana, Ohio. Ever since he was a child, he has had a huge love for all things weather. He is specifically passionate about extreme weather events such as tornadoes, hurricanes, and blizzards. In the future, he wants to work in forecasting for the National Weather Service or the private sector. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, hiking, and hanging out with his friends.
Samuel Driscoll
Samuel is a 19 year old sophomore at Ohio University, who is majoring in meteorology. He is from Westerville, Ohio which is just northwest of Columbus, about an hour and a half from Athens. He is a part of the meteorology club at OU and wants to work in the NWS one day. He loves to play video games and to watch the weather, hence why he is a meteorology major. Elizabeth Barnett
Elizabeth is a senior at Ohio University studying Aviation Management, with minors in Geography – Meteorology, Business, and Communications. She is an active member of Ohio University’s Flying Bobcats Precision Flight Team as well as Alpha Eta Rho. Elizabeth became interested in meteorology after watching the movie Twister growing up (the 1996 version, of course), and after a tornado passed over her grandmother’s log cabin during a bad storm in Indiana when she was younger. There was thankfully little damage, but it sparked her desire to develop a better understanding of tornado watches and warnings. Her favorite meteorological phenomenon are lenticular clouds because of how silly she thinks they look. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys gardening, cuddling with her cat, Biscuit, and riding her motorcycle. She is also a big fan of cars and airplanes.
Teddy Trupp
Teddy Trupp is 19, and is from Dayton, Ohio. He is a Sophomore at Ohio University. In his free time, he enjoys powerlifting, listening to music, being outside, making food and going out with friends. After he graduates, he sees himself being involved in the Military using his major.

There she graduated in 2024 with her bachelor’s in Geography with a concentration in Climate and Climate Change. Her academic interests include severe weather, supercell tornadogenesis, and tornado outbreaks. She had the privilege to present her undergraduate research at SEDAAG for “Changes in Climatology of Summertime Tornado Days in the Southern United States.”
Outside of meteorology, Kaitlyn loves to travel, find new music, and go to a Lumineers concert. She loves fall, and her favorite holiday is Halloween.
