Emily (Rwue) Kinard
Class of 2008
Emily graduated from Ohio University in 2008 with a B.S. in Meteorology and a minor in Physics. During her time at OU she participated in Meteorology Club, forecasted for Scalia Laboratory and WOUB, and interned with the Ohio News Network and WBNS 10TV in Columbus.
Emily moved to Washington, DC after college to work as a Program Assistant for the American Meteorological Society’s Education Program. After two years with AMS, she worked for four years as an Environmental Scientist at Eastern Research Group, Inc., an environmental consulting firm that provides support to federal agencies. Emily also returned to graduate school part-time while in DC and completed her master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy at Johns Hopkins University in 2012.
Emily got married in the spring of 2014, and her husband’s Air Force career will be taking them to Aviano, Italy in the fall.
