Andrew Branney is from a town called Hartville, about 15 minutes south of Akron, Ohio. He is currently the Vice President of the Ohio University’s Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (OUCAMS). In March of 2024 at the annual OUCAMS symposium, he received the Isaac Scholars Foundation Scholarship. Andrew is also a Resident Assistant in the Carr/Sowle dorm complex on campus. He completed a summer of volunteering with the National Weather Service at the Tampa Bay/Ruskin office in Ruskin, Florida this past summer. Beyond weather, Andrew enjoys sports such as basketball and baseball, hiking, stargazing, and hanging out with friends.
