James is currently a junior at Ohio University, pursuing a degree in geography with a meteorology track through the Honors Tutorial College. He is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and is an active member of OUCAMS, having served as an officer during spring of 2023. James has attended the University of Illinois’ First Annual Radar Institute, and is also a Research Assistant investigating radar coverage and its affect on warning tornadoes in southeastern Ohio. Additionally, James works as a Teaching Assistant and Supplemental Instructor for GEOG 3010, Intro to Meteorology, and provides recorded forecasts through Ohio University’s The Post TV.

Winter weather, severe weather, and radar interest him, but most of all, he loves to share that passion with others, and hopes to obtain a PhD in meteorology so he is able to continue teaching as a professor. Outside of school, James likes art, playing music, and enjoys walks, preferably at sunset. He also loves hot chocolate and soft pretzels.
