Forecast Discussion
A minor cool-down can be expected as we move into the weekend as a trough aloft begins to build during this time. A line of low-pressure connected together with frontal boundaries will slowly make its way over today and Saturday. This line will bring the chance for not only cloud development and a cooling trend during this time, but rain as well. Considering the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) has forecasted Ohio to have persistent drought in its seasonal outlook, even a little bit of rain will be appreciated. However, these totals likely won’t get anywhere near 1 inch, so it’s highly unlikely to put a significant dent in our current D1 drought (Moderate Drought). The bulk of the rain may likely move through the region Monday night into early Tuesday morning, though lingering chances will still persist for the remainder of Tuesday. However, by the end of this forecast, the accumulated total of precipitation may only get to about 0.43″ as we move into Wednesday.
