Forecast Discussion

A period of dry weather will return today and through this weekend into next week. High-pressure will dominate much of the eastern United States with a ridge aloft assisting in stable conditions. Mostly consistent temperatures will define the next 5 days as daytime temperatures remain in the upper-70s to 80 with nighttime temperatures in the mid-50s. Calm winds will return as well, and rain is not expected for the foreseeable future. Relative humidity values may remain relatively high, making the air feel uncomfortable during the day. Partly cloudy skies will cover the region for the next few days, though a little more sun may peek through on Sunday; however, slight cloud development will follow into the start of the work week. Overall, stable conditions to follow after a few days of persistent rain. Despite this, our D1 drought is expected to persist.
