Forecast Discussion
Our rain chances will finish up today from a strong cold front before beginning to switch to snow later this evening. These next forty-eight hours are looking to be windy, potentially lowering visibility from the blowing snow. Snowfall is likely, however the accumulation will be little to none tonight as the ground is still on the warmer end. As we move into tomorrow, the cold snap will really take effect with a high temperature of 36ºF and snow likely midday.
From 6:00pm tonight to 7:00am Wednesday, the National Weather Service Charleston, WV office predicts Athens, OH accumulating around 1.4″ of snow over the overall period. This can make travel hazardous for Monday morning and evening commutes. More information from the Charleston, WV office can be read here.
Following a chilly Veteran’s Day, temperatures begin to rise again midweek and return to being sunny as high pressure moves in once again.
