Forecast Discussion

Comfortable and dry conditions remain in place today before southerly flow brings in some more moisture into the region for the day on Monday. The heat also ramps back up tomorrow as the area will see temperatures nearing 90. The region will see showers and storms throughout the afternoon hours on Tuesday where there is a marginal risk for severe storms due to an approaching cold front and shortwave trough. The main threats look to be strong winds and flash flooding. Behind the front, that will slowly move through the area on Tuesday, temperatures will fall back into the low 80s for the rest of the week before we watch yet another warm up for next weekend. The area will also stay mainly dry beyond Tuesday and into next weekend as another high pressure system settles in.
