Forecast Discussion

Expect to get some weather starting early! Showers will be moving into the region before 8am, and we will continue to have a stormy morning. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to persist through until around noon today. Storms today should be rather mild, thought here are some ingredients in this system that could potentially cause storms to be severe. We’ll leave our orange card on the shelf for now. Some afternoon storms are also possible, considering there’s a good amount of instability and moisture in the airmass over us at the moment, so stay tuned to Scalia Lab’s social media for more developments in this active system!

Storms are going to linger around the region through tomorrow as well, due to a shortwave trough. Temperatures are also expected to remain fairly consistent into the week. Following tomorrow, high pressure will build in and we should have a break from the rain until this weekend, when another system is expected.
