Forecast Discussion

A weak cold front will continue to slowly drift southward through the area tonight. Partly cloudy skies will persist overnight as rain chances will remain quite low. Some patchy dense fog is possible into the early morning hours as temperatures fall into the mid to upper 60s overnight. Shower and thunderstorm chances increase into the afternoon hours on Wednesday as the front becomes stationary near the Ohio River. Best chance appears to be South of Athens but a stray shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. Wednesday night will feature another partly cloudy night with temperatures in the upper 60s. Thursday, the stationary front will remain near the Ohio River which will continue to keep shower and thunderstorm chances around especially during the afternoon and early evening hours. Shower and thunderstorm chances look to continue into the weekend as the stationary front begins to finally move.
