Forecast Discussion

An upper-level ridge and surface high pressure situated over the Great Lakes will continue to bring warm, pleasant, calm conditions today. Skies will remain mostly clear with only a few passing clouds forecast, with highs in the mid-upper 70s and lows dipping into the 40s. However, this pattern will begin to break down by Sunday as a shortwave trough begins approaching from the Northern Plains, accompanied by a surface low and cold front. This will introduce a pattern conducive for showers and maybe a thunderstorm Sunday and Monday, before more scattered activity takes hold for the early part of next week.
