Forecast Discussion

With the high pressure just to the East of the region, a 5-10 mph SW wind will help to increase temperatures and dew points throughout the next few days. Hot and humid conditions will lead to “feels like” temperatures to be in the upper 90s and nearing 100.  A few showers and thunderstorms are possible all weekend long with a couple of weak disturbances passing across the region, mainly in the afternoon hours. Strong winds and small hail are possible with any storm that does bubble up. A more active pattern returns for the start of the work week as a few shortwave troughs move through giving the area the chance for rain through at least Wednesday. Temperatures will not cool much after this weekend with temperatures still in the low to mid 90s with high dew points making it feel near 100.
