A cold front that became occluded is bringing rain showers today, but a stronger approaching cold front is going to bring breezy to gusty winds to the area along with likely chances for snowfall to the region starting tomorrow morning. Snowfall looks to change over from rain tomorrow morning, mixing with rain throughout the day until changing to snow entirely in the evening. Snow will likely continue to fall through early Tuesday morning before tapering off.

As outlined in the National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Outlook, snowfall will possibly cause slick spots from snow and ice on roadways Monday evening and Tuesday morning especially, so it is important that any travel plans are made accordingly. Models currently come together resolving total snow accumulation from 0.5-1.0″ by Tuesday morning.

Further into next week, a high-pressure system is expected to set up and clear things out through Thursday, until another surface low begins to move in bringing some chances for precipitation late next week and into the weekend possibly.
