Forecast Discussion
An occluded midlatitude cyclone from Canada will push east bringing a narrow warm, moist airmass to the Ohio Valley this evening within the warm sector. Dewpoints will be in the upper-60s and daytime heating allowing for an unstable airmass. Once the cold front pushes through this evening into the overnight hours, thunderstorms are likely with the main threats being heavy downpours and an isolated wind gust. The SPC has southeast Ohio under a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe weather.
A secondary cold front will move through Thursday evening and could bring a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise, it will remain dry. High-pressure will settle in the area for Friday and Saturday before another cold front will move through Saturday night into Sunday bringing a chance for rain.
