Forecast Discussion

The low-pressure system that brought us snow yesterday has since exited the region as an area of broad high-pressure settles into the Ohio Valley. Slightly warmer temperatures are expected today, but winds today will make it seem much colder. With a high of around 43 and winds between 10-15 mph, today is expected to be yet another chilly day. The troughing pattern allows this fridged air into the Athens region.

For the most part, the rest of today will be dry, but cold. Moving into this week, Monday will be dry and slightly warmer, but as the week progresses clouds will make its way through. An increase of temperatures will continue up until Thursday as another low-pressure system comes through bringing us the chance of rain.
